This new home was built into a hillside and the challenge was to achieve functional outdoor living spaces.

  Our design incorporates the development of various outdoor living areas and applications for terraced plateaus. The upper area off the home includes a custom built modern outdoor room extension off the home, complete with a low seating conversation area, modern rectangular fire pit, outdoor kitchen and multimedia entertainment technology. The pool area includes an oversize elongated tiled spa and bannister of quarry block stones for seating and boundary for the sloped hillside. Arched cannon jets and multiple modern scuppers add interest to the aquatic visuals of this space. Salt rock finish decks and modern stone façade on the fire pit and other veneer surfaces add to the organic modern contrast of materials. Landscape lighting effects include moon lighting as well as LED fixtures mounted in steps and for illuminating metal planters with planting accents.
