Located in the heart of Lakewood, this Transitional Modern Home was envisioned as a timeless interpretation of modern residential design—one that respects the established architectural character of this historic Dallas neighborhood while introducing a refined contemporary landscape vocabulary. Rather than pursuing stark minimalism, Original Landscape Concepts developed a warm, modern composition where architecture, grading, planting, lighting, and carefully selected materials work together as one unified experience.

The arrival sequence is intentionally choreographed through a series of courtyard spaces that gradually reveal the home. A custom exposed aggregate driveway, detailed with acid-washed concrete banding, creates a distinctive arrival surface whose subtle texture and linear rhythm establish the project's architectural character before visitors reach the front entry. The banding reinforces the clean geometry of the residence while providing visual refinement that complements the surrounding masonry.

A gently sculpted landscape berm along the right side of the property creates privacy and definition without isolating the home from its neighbors. This carefully graded transition establishes separation where needed while maintaining the open, welcoming feeling that is characteristic of Lakewood's streetscape.
