Custom Pool Design
Pools designed as architecture, not as add-ons — integrated into the landscape from the first line on the page.
Most luxury pools fail at one of two points. The design is treated as a separate object dropped into a yard. Or the build gets handed to a contractor who changes things at the trench. We do design and build in-house, under one roof. Same crew. Same set of drawings. That's why the pools we install look like they belong to the property.
Pool types we design
Negative-edge and infinity pools. These work when you're pushing the eye toward a view. Best on properties that drop away from the house. Golf course communities like Vaquero in Westlake work great. Rolling lots in north Dallas too.
Plunge pools. For smaller properties or as a secondary feature alongside an entertaining pool.
Courtyard pools. Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial architecture pairs naturally with these. The pool is bounded by the home on three sides.
Recreational pools. Shallow shelves for kids. Swim lanes. Basketball hoops for active families.
Lap pools. For properties organized around a single linear element.
Spa-only installations. Standalone features or coupled with a primary pool.
What real integration means
Pool design is never just the pool. It's the coping line meeting the patio correctly. Steps and benches placed where bodies go. An equipment vault tucked away from noise. Lighting that makes the water work after dark. Plantings softening the hardscape edge. We design all of this together because we build it all together with the same crew.
Materials we work with
Plaster finishes in white, colored, and polished. Pebble Tec and Pebble Sheen. Glass-bead aggregates. All-tile interiors. Coping in honed limestone, travertine, bluestone, and concrete. Tiles in glass, stone, and porcelain. We choose materials based on the house's architecture and how you want the pool to age over time. The right specifications on day one prevent expensive resurfacing on year eight.
Permitting and HOA considerations
Highland Park requires strict architectural review. University Park also requires plan review. Westlake communities require developer approval before city permitting begins. Preston Hollow varies by lot. We handle all of these submissions during the design phase.
